Are the lights eco-friendly?As you know at present we are in the process of updating the lights on our High Street, which time comprises 220-240v AC 50Hz 2.0w SMD LED Lamps. Our objective is to replace this with 0.6w units which are fully IP68 rated. (Notated as shown on the EAC, Christmas Lights Calculate The daily burn hours will be 8.00am to 9.00am (1.0 Hours) The daily burn hours will be 5.30pm to 10.00pm (4.5 Hours) The Total Daily Burn Hours will be: 5.5 Hours The Period of Operation will be: 26th November 2022 to 06th January 2023 a total of: 42 Days It is anticipated that we should have in place for the switch on: 692 - 220-240v AC 50Hz 2.0W SMD LED Lamps 1121 - 24VDC 0.6w units As our last submission was for 3.0 KWh this shows that by updating to the new system have reduced our electrical consumption by almost a third (0.9434 KWh) to 2.0566 K However we have increased our Daily Burn Rate from 4.5 Hours to 5.5 Hours but we saving from the installation of the new equipment of 13.5 KWh last year to 11.3 KW year, Saving 2.2 KWh per Day, We have also increased our Period of Operation from 37 Days last year to 42 Days 1 11.3113 KWh x 5 Days = 56.56 KWh increase This gives us a slight reduction in the overall total from 499.5 KWh last year to 47! this year, a Total Saving of 27.5 KWh.
